Handmade Flower Tutorial

Happy New Year to all my lovely blog friends!
Wishing everyone a wonderful 2011

Not so long ago, when I made this card

and this layout

I was asked if I could share a tutorial on these handmade flowers
First of all, I'll have to tell you that I am not the one that came up with the original idea of these flowers, so I tried to search for the tutorial online, it was long time ago and I couldn't remember whom I learn it from, so I decided to take some step by step photos to show you how I get these done

This is the kind of fabric I used

I used my sizziz machine and die cut to make 4 circles in different sizes

You can keep it the way it is, or spray it with glimmer mist

I am using Tattered Angels Concord from their "chalkboard collection"
You can get them at The Pixie Shop

Use the tea light or any candle jar you have, bring the rim of the fabric close to it to get the edges curl up a little

Hot glued the layers....

top with a pearl, or brad...

Tada.........
Here's the handmade flower.......

Hope you enjoy my very first tutorial! : )

Homemade Rosemary Soap

When we first moved to Las Vegas, we had 2 huge Rosemary Plants at our front yard, I love the scent but besides putting them in the glass vase for the bathroom, I don't know what else can I do with them.
They grew really really fast, and then I though, why not I make some homemade Rosemary soap, so here you go.......

Homemade Rosemary Soap in my guest bathroom

I made these few months ago, my blog is so busy that I do not have a slot to post them, LOL! Now that I am not in my craft room for a few days, they finally have a chance to be showcased!
I am in Disneyland right now, hope to share some fun photos when I get back!
Thanks for being here today and thanks for your sweet comment!
Sending you some Mickey Mouse Hugs..........

Thank You Note Card Swap

I have been keeping this for the longest time, I think I completed this a month or two ago, and thought I will wait until my partner received this card set before I post it online, but guess I cannot hold it any longer. I have not been making anything besides the huge project that I just had,  so I have nothing left on hands to post, where I usually have like 4-5 blog post pre-scheduled. Here you go -

Thank You Note Card Swap with Gift Box

I join in this Note Card Swap at Let's Ink it Up

I supposed to make 6 of these 3"x 3" Thank You note cards for my swap partner

I think it has to go with a box and envelope too, it is really hard to find envelope for 3x3 cards, so I make my own

And I put it in a handmade gift box, with the label for the envelop and baker's twine that you can find at Pixie Dust Paperie

gift box, all nicely dressed up

To my swap partner Joanna, this was shipped out to you on Dec 6, hope you get it by now.

City Crafter Challenge Blog ~ week 37 Stamp it Out!

I don't know how I spent the past 3 days.... locked myself in my craft room to whipped out 500 cards that needs to be out of the house by Monday morning. Actually it was 552 cards, when I was done with the first 500, I picked out 52 that I wasn't happy with, so I made another 52, whew......

Well, I will share more of that story later, today I am sharing the card I made for

Week 37 at CCCB is hosted by Linda Robinson, and she wants us to Ink it Up and Stamp it Out! Yes, real stamp, rubber stamp, clear stamp and ink, no digi please.....

I used a dress form stamp and a little embellishment stamp on the top left corner.
