Pixie Dust Paperie ~ Birthday Calendar Book

This is my first project using Pixie Dust Paperie's November Kit "Snow Shoe"
When I laid my eyes on these dreamy papers in the kit, I knew right away I am going to have fun with them.

I love sending cards on important occasion, in order not to miss any birthday, or anniversary, a birthday calendar book is certainly helpful!

When you have pretty papers like these, you don't even need to work much

Prima baby blue flowers, My Mind's Eye's brads, and those letter sticker sheets from Echo Park's christmas collection, they just go perfectly together, who said you have to use holiday theme product on a holiday project?
Those white daisies and rolled flowers are done with papers from the kit as well

The papers I used to make those lacey borders, don't they go well with everything here.
The good thing about using a kit is that, the "matching" job is already done for you

Inside the book are 12 pages with pockets where you can slot in the card that you wanna send for each month, how's that for a planner?

Well, hop over to the Pixie Blog for more picture on this calendar book

Here's what in "Snow Shoe"

I am off to Seattle tomorrow, thanks for visiting and I will miss you blog while I am gone!

Note Pad (Pixie Dust Paperie October Kit)

Here's a notepad I made using Pixie Dust Paperie October Kit
"Fall in Love"

One great thing about making this note pad is - fast and easy, and you can use up your scraps as it needs very little paper, so here you go, I used my scraps (actually there are still lots of papers and supplies left after making 4 projects out of this kit). I just love making small gift like this one.

The Pixie Dust Paperie October Kit is still available HERE!

Next is a little THANK YOU note to my dear friend

Ros Crawford

Ros learned from the City Crafter Challenge Blog when I hosted the "LONDON" week challenge, that my 2 teenage girls are crazy over Beatles, how lovely and thoughtful of her, not only she sent us photographs of Penny Lanes, Strawberry Fields .... etc. She also sent these lovely gifts to my 2 girls

The girls were screaming and dancing when they received these!!!

THANK YOU ROS!!!

Here's some pictures of my girls' room and where they display the lovely gifts from Ros

They are just not the Justine Bieber or Lady Gaga teenagers, they loves classical music, they love the classic rocks, the Beatles, Ray Charles, Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin

They read every book about the Beatles, and Elvis etc, collect old vinyl records and even have record players, sometimes I think they are actually old ladies living in cute bodies! : o

Thanks once again Ros, you made them sooooo HAPPY!

CCCB # 17 ~ I left my HEART in San Francisco!

Hey, it is week 17 at City Crafter Challenge Blog and it is my turn to host, like always, I love to do a city triggled theme, this week, it is San Francisco, not only I love San Francisco, I also love Tony's Bennett's signature piece - I left my heart in San Francisco! I can listen to it over and over again, just like how I love visiting San Francisco again and again.
Alight, back to the point, since it is "I left my heart in San Francisco", so our project this week for CCCB is to create a card/layout/project with a heart or hearts on it, easy peasy right? Here you go.... this is my post-it holder with lots of hearts.

This is the front view of the post-it holder, the Tim Holtz chipboard HEART is the focal point, I embellished it with Prima roses, my all time favorite, and pearls from Martha Stewart. DP is Melissa Frances and The Girls' Paperie, the heart edge punch is from Martha Stewart as well. Red color DP is from Anna Graffin.

You can hang this on the board at your desk, or anywhere that is easy to reach

This is what you'd see on the inside when you flip it
The carnival ticket stamp from PTI was stamped on Anna Graffin paper, rose and corner embellies are from K & Company.

Middle part of the inside is where I placed the heart shaped post-it pad.

There at the bottom of the inside, you'll see the photo of me and my husband taken 2 years ago in San Francisco with the cable car as backdrop.

And this is the view when you folded the bottom portion and flip only the top portion, in another words, this is a tri-fold project.

Alright, come' on over to City Crafter Challenge Blog and see what the other DTs had created, we are having the talented Lori Hairston as our Guest Designer this week, if you are a regular at CCCB, you probably have noticed Lori's beautiful creations, we are so honored to have her this week at City Crafter, not forgetting our DT, Linda, June, Cheryl and Ros, go visit their personal blog to see how they created their beautiful projects as well. The beautiful inspiration photo is from a dear blog friend Koralee, if you have been around the blog land much, you probably already found The Bluebird Notes, Koralee's blog is filled with beautiful images and wise words, thanks Koralee, for letting us use your beautiful artwork, do stop by Koralee's blog, I bet you'd become a follower in that instead, just like I did for my first visit there. Last but not lesat, our fabulous sponsor this week is The Chip Chop Shop, LeeAnn at the chip chop shop is kindly sponsoring a $20 store money to spent HERE, take a look, I am sure you will find those embellies pretty and fun to play with! Wanna be that lucky winner? Come join us for this week challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog!

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop Challenge

This is my 3rd blog hop with Papertrey Ink, how exciting

Here's what I come up with

You can pin this on your board near your desk or work area, the post-it pad is just within reach

I am using all the new stuff from Papertrey Ink, arrived few days ago, I can't described the feeling, on the 15th every month after I submitted my order for the new released item, then the days seem so slow until the goodies arrived at my door. You think I am addicted to Papertrey Ink???

Ok, better post this before it is too late, and then I am off to see the other lovely works from all the papertrey ink peeps.
