Dolce

When I read about the challenge at Colour Q this week, I knew right away I want to play along.
This week (#52) which is their 1st anniversary, Happy Birthday Colour Q! And it is really fun!

I see a sketch
And get to choose my color palette from the previous challenges, and this is what I found
I am using the color palette from week # 13

And here is what I come up with

I pull out this old photo from the old album, and give a make over

Yes, her name is DOLCE...

My sweet little baby, who is 15 this year...

Oh boy, this page took me the longest time ever, but it is all worth it...

Little crocheted heart and the darker pink vintage button, again thanks to Clare Buswell, for the cute items she put into the jar for our Pretty Things Jar Swap

Holiday Wreath

When I saw this inspiration at The Shabby Tea Room this week

I knew I had to play along, aren't these colors the sweetest? Of course! they are picked by Clare Buswell (DT over at The Shabby Tea Room)
And this week challenge is "Pearls and Pastels". I love both so how could I not play along?

I just received my PTI new released stamp set, this month it came in extremely late, it was after the PTI blog hop and I can't use it for the blog hop challenge, but I can't wait another day, so I make this holiday card with the holiday wreath stamp.

And added lots and lots of pearls

Alright, hop over to the The Shabby Tea Room and play along with them.

My favorite Shades

I am a Lilac/Purple/Lavender color gal, I just love these shades so much....
I also love using vintage laces on my work
So when I see this challenge over at

Challenge # 7 - Lavender and Old Lace

How could I not play along?

Lots of lavender and some old laces
The lace that pair with the seam binding are some old laces from a girl friend, I don't even know how old are they, I used them a lot and I have so little left, what am I going to do without them?

And the lace next to the button are from Clare Buswell, she put it in a pretty jar for me when we had the "pretty things jar swap" sometime ago

So hop over to Pocket full of posies challenges and play along with them if you love Lavender and Old Lace.

September 2010 Papertrey Blog Hop

September Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge is about
"show off skills that you learned from a fellow stamper"

One skill I learned from the Papertrey Ink Designer Betsy Veldman is to make the tissue paper flower

I love making them and had made tons of them, thanks Betsy for sharing the skill.

I am so sad to see everyone using their new released stamp set and I haven't got mine this time, usually it arrived in time for me to use them for blog hop but they are still not here till today even I placed on order on the release night, so sad............ I just hope that they are not lost in the mail. : (

The other handmade flower I learn from the internet is the roll flowers here, this is my second try on this, I am still practicing to make it perfect!

Halloween Card # 1 (2010)

This is my first Halloween Card for the year, I just received these papers from MME and wanted to use them immediately, but when I am done with the card, I realized that I made a mistake by putting too many layers on a DP like this, oh well, I post it anyway hoping to get some good advice from my blog friends, so please share your thought! : )

I think I am going to try using these DP again, and create another Halloween card with a simpler look!

Another new thing here is the roll flower, something new I just learn and trying to perfect it

This card is going to enter the challenge over at

I used a double sided tape in the middle of the card, pour some green color glitters over it
And the Tim Holtz frame behind the button, is also covered with orange color glitters

Day 20 (September 18, 2010)

This flower looks almost 3-D to me, it is in it's original form, "un-touch", no photo shop, nothing done! 100 percent original!

Day 21 (September 19, 2010)

My favorite shades...... this incense cone and ceramic holder with lavender scent was bought at Bath Spa near Bristol, England. I love England and wish to go back again someday!

Another Vintage Tag

I am sharing another vintage tag with you today

I just love making these vintage tag, oh ya, my last vintage tag won the challenge over at Let's Ink it Up, you can see that tag on my side bar. That motivated me to make another one! LOL!

This is really vintage, see that earring? Clare sent it to me during our last Pretty Things Jar Swap, I so love it, I hope I can find some of these vintage item here in Vegas, but no luck with the antique shop.

And that lace on the left, that is also something old, I used some of it on the plaque I made, you can see it on my sidebar as well.

Move down a little, you'll see the lace trim, that is also from Clare, and I think it is something old too, how cool is that to received vintage items from another country (Clare is from Ireland)

Thanks Clare, for all these vintage goodies!

This vintage tag is created to enter the challenge over at
Challenge # 6 is to make a Vintage Tag

Look at that hat I created for her, I love it, how about you?
