New Orleans

Brrrr..... it is cold this evening! Well, I should not be complaining, most of the days here are in the 60s, it is winter, I really should not complain that much when the temperature drops to the 40s in the night!
The family is still here, but Clare and Lione will be leaving end of the week : (
Dolce will be here for an extra week, even though she works from home, I am still happy that she is around in the house.

I haven't been that active in blogland the past year, mainly because the increase of my work load, so I don't have much time in the craft room, I have the intention to do better this year, even I don't have new project, I should just pop in to post something old or just chat with you right?

Travel in November

We went to New Orleans and then to Atlanta to visit a friend in November, I thought I'll share some photos of my trip here with you.

A friend of DH insisted we stayed at their mansion right at the French Quarter this time, this is the view from our balcony....

it's a short walk to the French Market....

I am sure most of you have heard of Beignets.....

if you are in New Orleans, I suggest that you try one at Café du Monde, indulging yourself in this heavenly treats, yum......

Since I only have half a day while DH is at work, I just enjoy the stroll nearby....

Thanks for stopping by..... before I go, here's a little treat box I made for the holiday.

enjoy the rest of your holiday weekends and have a wonderful 2018!!!!

Christmas Card Day!

This year is late for me, it is December 9 and I haven't send out any Christmas card yet, however, I did make quite a bit this year.....

because postage for overseas mail is rather expensive, and I did send a lot of Christmas cards overseas, so I am making a lot of CAS cards, that way, it fits into a regular envelope so I don't have to line up at the post office because it is not a package. Here in the US, if you send a card in a padded envelope,  you need to go to the post office, stand in line and then fill up a custom declaration form, ya, I know, that is way more CAS cards this year....

I make these in two colors.....

I am joining in the fun over at Simon Says Stamps Blog

This week at City Crafter Challenge Blog, we want to see a project inspired by this holiday album.

The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017

This is the first time I participated in The 25 Days of Christmas Tags by Tracey McNeedly. There are wonderful tags created everyday for this occasion, it is fun and very inspiring! You can find direct link up HERE!

I want to make as many tags as possible but unfortunately, time is an issue for me, I tried my best to come up with the first one (hopefully there will be more in the coming days)

My tag was inspired by Amy Kolling on Day 6 post

See Amy's original post HERE!

you can also check out The 25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 6 post HERE!

I have a couple of Christmas stamp and die set from lil' inker Designs, hoard them for a while now and just can't wait to ink them....

I love those little mittens, hat and snowflakes.....

silver, red and blue inks were used on these, and I backed them with silver glitter paper, the tag die is product of Papertrey Ink.

I hope to find more time this coming weeks to make more tags, stop by Tracey's blog to check out The 25 days of Christmas tags.
