City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 133 ~ 3+1 = CUTE

The storm at East Coast is the worst ever, I was worried and called my daughter to check on her, she seemed fine, one of the dorm building was out of power but hers was fine. I also talked to my girlfriend in New York, the connection was bad and she could hardly hear me, she also told me that her ceiling lights were flicking, and them we got cut off, I hope she is ok

Music is......

Back and I am missing Tokyo already... oh I love Japan!!!!

First thing after a week's break

Music is love in search of a word

~ Sidonie Gabrielle

Clare with her piano teacher Ted Joselson when she was 8

Ted was a Steinway Artists, moved to Singapore few years ago, it was Ted who spotted Clare's talent and said to us, Singapore is too small for her, go to New York City, go to The Juilliard School. It was his encouragement that we make that move to auditioned at The Juilliard, that leads to the move to NYC.

Having breakfast at the 17th floor of our hotel
Look at the view.....

You know how much I love Japan and Paris, and even Japan agrees with me, see the Tokyo Tower, it looks just like the Eiffel Tower.

Hi there, today is my turn to host at City Crafter Challenge Blog

Do you ever look at the cards or projects you created months or years ago, do you ever talk to yourself "did I really make that", do you ever wish that you could do a better job by adding this, taking that away, use a different color, or paper etc etc. Oh yes, this happened to me all the time, so I really want to take one of my old project and give it a MAKE OVER!

Here's a card I made in August 2009, I just started card-making and blogging two months ago at that time.

I love the sketch of this card so I am giving a NEW LOOK to this old card

I like the new look now, just not sure if I still think the same 2 years later, LOL!

Alright, I hope you pop by City Crafter to check the challenge out!!!!

Get Well Soon.....

I am glad to report that my brother-in-law is taking the treatment well, it is tough but he is feeling better each day.

Here's a "Get well soon" card for Dan

I am entering this card to the challenge over at

Thanks for all your well wishes, Clare's piano recital went week, this is her first recital prepared on her own without her mom "nagging", LOL! She played pieces from Copland, Brahms and Liebermann, very mature composers, when she was young, she played lots of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin, because mom loves it, LOL!
Here to share a few photos after the concert, Clare with her teacher Viki! She told me that the first time she heard Clare played at the admission audition, she said to herself "I want this girl!!!"
We are so blessed that she always met the right person, her teacher back at The Juilliard School Vika and her teacher now at CalArts all love her so much!

All packed up....

Japan here I come.......
