Week three of our birthday celebration at...

We invited designers used to designed for us this month, this week, we are having WEN as our special guest! Hop over to City Crafter Challenge Blog to see what WEN have for you.

My take on WEN's card.......

I used Wen's layout for this card, in fact, I used most of the elements she had on her card, like the butterflies.....

the postage stamp....

both of the flowers....

when I first started making cards, I do a lot of shabby vintage style with lots of layers, but I have been making more clean and simple, one layer card these days, this one kind of bring back memories.....

products used on this projects are -
Patterned paper - G45
leave die - My Favorite Thing
Flower stamped on kraft paper - Uniko

We have a prize package for this week's winner too...

I have the pleasure to met WEN in person in Amsterdam 2 years ago...
we had breakfast, exchanged gifts, and walked the city all day, it was a fun day, thank you WEN!!!

Happy Spring

Happy Spring!!!!!

I just found a drafted post that I haven't hit "publish", I guess I was in Tokyo when Spring arrived, so here you go, with some beautiful Sakura from Tokyo as well!

We went to Tokyo March 16, typically is a little early for Sakura. Flower viewing is a big thing in Japan during Cherry blossom Festival, which is spring, it is peak traveling season for Japan, mid March is early but we were lucky enough to have some early bloom, even on the street.

when I am in Japan, I love visiting Shrine, it always makes me feel calm and peaceful...

Nezu Shrine is one of Japan's oldest shrine, nearly all its structures are extant from they were build or rebuilt in 1706.

The best part of the Shrine that I love is the landscape, don't you think the layers of green are just beautiful?

The custom in Japan is that you purify yourself at a Shrine with these wooden ladle at the Chozuya (or some called Temizuya, which is like a little water fountain)

and always remember, hold the ladle with your right hand first, cleanse your left hand and then switch hand.

more beautiful Sakura at Nezu Shrine....

With these beautiful cherry blossom, I am wishing you a wonderful Spring again!
Thanks for stopping by!

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 406 ~ Birthday Post, Special Guest Samra

Can't believe that City Crafter is turning 8 this month!!! 8 years, oh wow, how time flies..... I started the blog when I was still living in NYC, that was long time ago....
Through the blog I met many talented ladies, or I would called them team mates....  design team members come and go because life changes and everybody has their own life and things totake care of, I do keep in touch with some of these fine ladies, this year, to help us celebrate our 8th birthday, I invited some of the past designers from the team to join in the fun.

Week 1, we are having Samra!!!! She created a beautiful card for us to CASE, hop over to City Crafter Challenge Blog to see her lovely creation!

For my card, I picked up Samra's idea of using wreath and banner, but my card is more of a envelope friendly version

I mixed and match a few stamp sets from Papertrey Ink, they are....
Quilted Elegance
Choose Joy
Ivy and Bloom
Big Hugs

No birthday celebration can go without a prize, here's what you can win if you link your card to our challenge this week!

Hop over to City Crafter Challenge Blog and join in our birthday fun!
