I'm sad for you, Kirsty. I am sure that your sadness will turn when she realizes all the dreams and hopes that you have built into her. Between now and then, I wish you peace... kinda like how peaceful your card looks. The soft colors and frame set such a lovely tone. Focus on the good until your emotions catch up to your dreams for her.

it's always hard to let go when someone so close to you starts another phase of their life. but i'm sure you'll be proud that she's seeing the world and learning so much

Best wishes to your daughter...I'm sure she'll have the most wonderful time in Rome. My eldest daughter has just spent the last year in Madrid and Porto and loved every minute (and the time will just fly by...Skype is a great thing too!)
Happy Wednesday,
