Candy Cane and Vellum

Today's card was inspired by

and

I used PTI bloom builders #3 die with light yellow vellum paper to make the flower, add pink glitters and then top with PTI white and cream mixed vintage buttons

I used the same yellow vellum and layered it over my patterned paper

before I stitch them up, I throw some of my pretty flowers in there

can you see them? the vellum kind of tone down the patterned paper and give a softer look, I like it

I love this vintage image, girl in candy cane costume holding candy cane, how sweet

There is a video tutorial by Melissa Phillips on Layered Vellum Die Cuts, check it out HERE

what an amazingly lovely and CLEVER card! i looooooooove that the "mat" is vellum and that you've sewn those sweet little flower sequins right in to it, so they can move around under there-- i am DEFINITELY trying that ASAP! as for that adorable vintage image, what could possibly be more beautiful or more perfect for our JINGLE BELLES "christmas feast"??!?! ♥♥♥
