NYC and City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 401 ~ Die Cuts

Last weekend, we flew to New York City.....

every time I am here at Dolce's apartment, I always feel grateful that she is in this great city, living just one block away from all the action - Times Square...

and Central Park is just 10 minutes walk from the apartment...

early Monday morning, Dolce and I took Alfie to the park....

it was 6:30 AM and 37F, brrrrr......

it was cold but it was beautiful, the girls and I used to spent many Sundays at Central Park when we first moved to NYC, the walk brought back a lot of sweet memories....

Alfie Coconut in his winter outfit, running leash-free at Central Park, got to be the cutest sight!

I spent a few days with the two and took so many cute pictures of Alfie!!!!

when I was going to leave, Alfie just had to show that sad puppy face! Awww... hard to leave!

................................

My project today is for the challenge at...

The theme is DIE CUTS, check out challenge details HERE!

I remember my first encounter with die cuts, they are just pre-cut embellishment sold at craft stores.....

whenever I am at the craft stores, I just stock up all those die cuts because you'll never know when you are going to need them... but these days, we all have dies and die cut machine to do our own, I cut them only when I need.....

here's a layout using both store-bought die cuts as well as those I cut at home.

I remember the "old days" when die cut machines were huge & only at the craft store to use for free if you bought your paper there! Wonderful layout, Kirsty--love that picture! Looks like a great visit in NYC & Coconut appears to have totally settled in to his life with Dolce--what a cutie!

Love all the pictures, and love the layout, too! Those corners are fabulous, and your mix of die cuts is super fun. I especially love the tabs on top of the photo. The ink splatters add a great touch, too.
So happy you got to spend some time with your girl in the city that you love. I know those trips must be so nostalgic for you. How wonderful that Dolce has landed there so that you get to visit often!
