My favorite Shade

I am a total girly girl, lilac, pink.... all things pastel, oh my favorite shades...

I have tons of these purple/lilac shades paper from K & Co, I used to buy them when I do scrapbook for my babies, these papers must be like 10 years old? LOL!

I entered this card for the following challenges

1. Play Date Cafe (one of my favorite challenge blog that I miss doing it the past 2 weeks)
This week at The Play Date Cafe, Julie picked the following colors
How could I not play along?

2. Paper Garden Project - Fourth Friday Fun Challenge - Girly/Feminine

Everything I created is nothing but girly, how could I not play along?

I haven't been doing this piling up challenges thing for a while, I remembered when I first discovered challenge blog few months ago, I go crazy over it and love spending time piling up challenges, not so much time these day. : (

Goodies in the mail!

I received 2 packages in my mail few hours ago, one from Emmas paperie and one from The Scrapbooking Cottage, how perfect can my birthday be, I sent my order early this week and they arrived at my doorstep on Friday, how fast could any shipping be. Both Emmas Paperie and The Scrapbooking Cottage should get an A+++ for their fast shipping and customer service. I can't wait to play with the goodies in those packages!

note: The Scrapbooking Cottage is our sponsor this week at City Crafter Challenge Blog, hop over to see what you could win!

I made this "weird" looking card 2 days ago, I can't explain why, but it does looks weird to me, can anyone tell me why?

And it is for the challenge over at Limelight Papercrafts, here's the sketch

Five O'clock Tea

Today is my birthday, my husband took me to 57th street last night for my favorite Angelo Coal Oven Pizza, Angelo has my favorite seafood pasta, it is the second best seafood pasta I ever had, my top favorite is Scoma at San Francisco's Fisherman Whaft.

After dinner, we went to Winter Garden at Times Square for one of my favorite Broadway Musical Mama Mia. When we took a stroll after the musical at Times Square, I told my husband, "Next time when we come to Times Square, we will be visitors and not local!" I have mixed feelings right now, excited about our move to Las Vegas in less than a week's time, but yet sad feeling about leaving Manhattan, it is a place I love so dearly.

I finally have some time yesterday morning, putting off the packing aside, I made 4 cards and will post them one at a time the next few days.

Oh boy, I missed taking part in challenges.

This is the first time I use a printed image, it is a vintage picture that says "Five O'clock Tea"

Buttons and Carnival Tickets are vintage supplies from my Etsy shop "Afternoon Tea"

Do pop over to The Shabby Tea Room and join in the fun

CCCB # 6 ~ Recipe Card

You are getting a little head start here if you are a City Crafter Challenge Blog supporter

The new challenge (week 6) is coming on live in just a few hours time, but if you are here now (Monday 9 PM EST), you may get your paper and glue going for our new challenge that will come on live midnight of Tuesday.

I am so crazy over making these tissue flowers lately, when Linda told me she is going to do a recipe card for CCCB week 6, and it got to have
1 ribbon, 2 papers, and 3 flowers
3 flowers????? Oh good, now I have 3 times more of a chance to make my favorite tissue paper flowers, LOL!

So, I am showing you 3 flowers here, I used brown tissue paper for one, white tissue paper for another, and colored it with light pink and light brown chalk, I just love how soft the effect of the chalk. And the last one, I used a mixture of brown, dark pink, baby pink and white tissue paper on different layer, colored the white with the same chalk I used for
flower # 2.
And here are my 3 flowers!

Here's a tiny tag with a tiny birdie, not part of the recipe but Linda said it is ok to have other embellies

My ribbon is the seam binding, the 2 papers I used are PTI and a pink card stock, the same card stock for the scallop square in the middle, just with different color distress ink, oops, I cheated! not really, we are allowed to use 2 or more papers! The square in the middle is actually a lighter shade of pink card stock

Cream Color Crotchet Lace Trim is from Krafty Kirsty

Hurry hurry! get your paper, glue, and embellies out, by the time the clock strike 12, your card could be up at City Crafter Challenge Blog for our week 6 challenge!

Everything but the kitchen sink

*** scroll down if you are looking for the "I Love Paris" card for City Crafter Challenge Blog

I created this card many weeks ago, if you know I live in a tiny apartment without a crafting space. The kitchen counter (not even a table ok!) is a multi purpose area, it is my crafting area when it is not in use for anything else

I keep my sewing machine in the store room where we hang our outer coats, if I take it out to sew, I make sure I use it to the fullest!

I just put all these left-overs DP together one day when the machine is out for use, and then the card was left without any embellishment for a long while until I found this challenge the other day. Wow! I am thinking, this is a good opportunity to use this card now!

I stamp the sentiment, add some embellies, distress the edges with distress ink and Ta da.....
This card is good to go

Challenge - Everything but the kitchen sink (isn't that a cute name for a blog?)
challenge # 15 sketch

Ok, I am done with posting my finished card, now I have room to create more!!!
