PTI Make it Monday #142 (more decorated kraft bags)

I had so much fun decorating the kraft bags, and since I have to make a few more for Thanksgiving dinner (in a rush), so here you go....... they are easy project that can be done in just a few minutes

both orange and yellow patterned papers are from PTI in bloom 8x8 patterned paper

they are perfect for my last minutes Thanksgiving gifts

and the stamp at the bottom of the kraft bag is one of my all time favorite background stamp set from PTI - background basics Inspiration Stamp Set

Linking up with

PTI Make it Monday #142 ~ Decorated Kraft Bags

I love kraft bags, brown bags or lunch bags, whatever you call them, and this week at

PTI Make it Monday #142

is all about decorating the kraft bags, how fun!

I started with a little stamped borders at the bottom of the bag, using PTI Autumn pattern pieces

next is the cut my pattern paper for the top part of the bag, using PTI text style postmarks pattern paper

then I make a tag using old book paper and then stamp a deer from PTI In the Meadow Stamp set, and then embossed with white embossing powder as well as utee

the little banner was cut from PTI photo finish strips die collection and then stamped the word "Enjoy" from PTI Tiny Tags stamp set

last thing is to put everything together with baker's twine

December Daily Cover

I've seen a lot of December Daily projects on the internet, I would like to make one but not sure if I have something to scrap on a daily basis, and also I don't quite like project laying around for a long period of time as I already have so many sitting there on my craft table now, LOL! And then one day, I saw Let's December Daily on Mandy's blog, and I have a small album waiting there, well, why not give it a try........

So....... here's my very first December Daily

Here's the cover

this mini album in kraft is a steal at Michael's, 1.99 for 2, this is the slightly bigger one, I used stencil and moulding paste for the cover, and little bit of stamping with white embossing powder on the side

finally break into my new die

love the retro images, they are die cuts from K and company (I believe... bought a while ago)

punch a few lace borders with vellum paper

and here's the cover of my December Daily album!

can't wait to start.......

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 187 ~ Snow White

Thank you all for your kind words, I do feel better now!

It's Tuesday, and hello to our new challenge at

This week is hosted by sweet Wendy.

Snow White

is the theme

Create a project with mainly the color white, or off white.

Here's mine

I did a heat embossing with my woodgrain stamp on white cardstock for the background, you probably can't see it from the photo but I do like that the background has little bit of texture instead of just smooth white cardstock.

I just finished my box of yummy cookies I bought from Japan and the packaging material is perfect for this card too.

one oversized beaded button that I hoard for the longest time

add a diecut "birthday" word and embellishments, done!

Come play along with us

We have Lisette as our special guest star this week, hop right over now!

Our Beautiful World Week 22 ~ Thanksgiving

is a place where you can share photographs taken by you from your part of the word

We have a new word prompt every Sunday.

This week is

We don't really celebrate Thanksgiving at home, we usually go out for a meal or just make something simple at home.

When I think of the word Thanksgiving, I think of the color orange and pumpkins.

I took a photo at the door front of Cracker Barrel 2 weeks ago when we drove to Zion National Park, did a bit of editing with Picmonkey.

Well, Thanksgiving supposed to remind us that we need to be grateful, and give thanks, as I was drafting this post, I wasn't in my best mood, so I thought I'll dig out some quotes to see if they will make me feel better...... and why not share them with you my friends.

"Think of all the beauty still left around  you and be happy."

~ Ann Frank

We did have a lot of natural beauties in this world, let's dig out some photos I took at Zion National Park....

{Zion National Park, November 2013}

Does it make me feel better? umm.... I don't think so, I still feel like s****

so I continue to look......

"If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again
I won't look any further than my own back yard.
Because if it isn't there,
I never really lost it to begin with."

~ L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

This one had me think and think and think ........
When I am sad and down, I always thought of New York City, the eight years I spent there were the most difficult time for me financially, but it was also the happiest time in my life as far as I can remember, when I am sad, the first thought is always - I miss the days in NYC, I miss the time where I can get up every morning and worry about nothing but money. When your biggest worry is money, you are having a good life. I miss my walk at west side highway, I miss the Hudson, I miss upper west side, I miss Lincoln center and The Juilliard School.... the list can go on and on as I miss my New York City.

{Flat Iron Building, NYC, May 2013}

Ok, I think I feel a teeny tiny bit better, not a whole lot, but better than feeling crappy, now I am going to look in my backyard to see if I can find my heart's desire there!

Thanks for letting me share....
If this post is too depressing for you, please hop over to

I bet there are a lot of happier thing for you over there!

This week at PTI Make it Monday, it happens that the technique is adding glitters with heat and stick embossing powder, how could I not participate?

Here's my card
