Project Life 2016 ~ March 11 to 31

Project Life 2016

March 11
I am so excited, Ikea is finally coming to Vegas, I waited for 2 years since they announced that the Las Vegas Ikea will be opening Summer 2016, now we got the date, May 18!!!!

March 12
The seed I put in a week ago starting to sprouts.

March 14
My friend invited me to teach the ladies in her church how to bake, so I make a batch of Hokkaido cupcake at home today just to make sure, I didn't have any baking experience till I moved to NYC, so I am not a teacher but I like to share my bake stuff with friends, and they like it so they asked me to show them how to do it.

March 16
Today I found a few pee spot in my craft room, OH BOY!!! What is wrong with our little boy, he was trained since he was little, he went to his pee pee pad to do his business and never have any accident at home, why is he doing this now???? WHY????

March 17
DH has been a regular donor of the charity called Three Square, today we were invited to a St. Patrick's day dinner/cooking demonstration at Three Square facility.

it is good to know that the money we donated go to some many hungry children here in Las Vegas, the warehouse is huge, not only they have donors, they also have lots of volunteers come in everyday to cook, pack and deliver lunches to schools.

cooking demonstration was fun....

we had Shepherd's pie and corn beef cooked by Three Square chief, it was yummy. The best part of the evening is to hear attendees sharing their personal stories, most of them were recipient of charities when they were young, receiving free lunches and now as an adult, they are paying forward, a lot of stories were very touching.....
a picture of Three Square's building before we leave.

March 19
We watched Guy Fiery recommended Road Kill Grill long time ago on Food Network show "Diners Dive and Drive", we finally get to try it today.

Road kill Grill was just right next to the butcher where we visited a few times before...

now they added sitting around, we even saw a line....

I like the ribs but DH wasn't impressed with his rib tips at all...

March 24
After watching the cooking demonstration at Three Square last week, today I had my hands on....
my very first Shepherd's Pie.... it was yummy and DH loves it a lot!

March 28
The seeds I put in early this month is doing very well.

and my first try on almond stick using puff pastry....

it taste good but I think I will bake it a little longer next time.

 and here's our March photo....

What a great set of photos and stories behind them ... As for Papi ... Maybe he should see the vet to see if he has an infection? Shepherds pie is very much cooked over here ... shepherds pie and cottage pie ... depends what meat you use. I love almond and your pastries looks delicious!

I love your PL posts so much, Kirsty! Your pages are always so beautiful, and your photos, too. But what I love the most is hearing your stories about all your adventures. Love how involved in your community both you and the hubby are. Love your cupcake baking/teaching experience, and your evening at four square was so cool. GREAT monthly photo of you two, too!

Such a lovely set of photos and I always enjoy hearing and seeing this peek into your days. Wonderful layouts. I agree with Ros about Papi - you might keep a short journal of when it is happening so that you can describe them to the vet. This could help if it is behavioral rather than an infection. But the vet should be able to tell the difference.

Always love seeing your PL, Kirsty! You could sure fool me--I think you're a baker! What a wonderful charity where you know exactly how they're using the money & that it is truly needed. Hoping no more problem with Papi--he is the cutest! Ikea is in Portland, but I've never been there--hubby isn't interested & too far for me to go shopping now.

Lovely look into your life, Kirsty. I am always in awe by how faithfully you do your PL and other weekly projects like CCCB and OBW. You're so self-disciplined! Me, I'm utter chaos, haha :) Although it's not so funny, to be honest. Anyway. Those cakes look soooo yummy! I hope Papi is doing well now? Poor little boy! xx
