Our Beautiful World 135 ~ Sweet

When my sister and Jesse was here, Jesse wanted to go to the SWEET ATM

I mean the cupcake ATM by Sprinkles. It is by the LINQ here in Las Vegas. I personally don't like the cupcake from Sprinkles, but I have to admit that when I first saw this ATM, I had to try getting one as well.

Speaking of SWEET. I have been on a NO SUGAR week mission for more than 16 months now. I started not to have any sugar, and things that content sugar one week every month, I do this not because I need weight control or anything, just that I think the white stuff is really no good for our health, and cutting down is definitely a good thing. I didn't want to cut down totally because I think life is no fun without the SWEET stuff, imagine you have to look when someone is having dessert? Or can't bake? that would sucks! But just to not have sugar 7 days in a month is not a hard target to reach, everyone can do that, imagine by doing this, I cut down 3 months of sugar in a year of my life, that is quite a bit of sugar that I skip right? If I ask you not to have sugar for 3 months, you might think it is crazy, but doing it 7 days in a month, that would be easy! It was hard in the beginning because I sometimes forget, but once you get into the routine, now I have no problem remembering every month from 16 - 22 is my no sugar days, and by the way, the bonus is my weight has been keeping steadily under 40 KG, I used to be between 42 and 46 on a regular basis, sometimes it could be on the high of 47 even!

Ok, enough of SWEET talk, I'll let you hop over to .....

to see what our team have for you.

Oh my goodness!!!! A CUPCAKE ATM!!! I've never seen or heard of such a thing! So glad we don't have one here - I might be tempted too often!

Cutting your sugar intake is definitely a good effort, Kirsty even though I think you do not have to really worry about your weight ;) Have a good week ahead and hope you stay healthy!

What? A machine that gives sprinkles? I don't even like cupcakes really and I notice that all the recipes in the US have a lot of sugar ... I bake but only use a fraction of the amount of sugar and don't miss it.

Will have to check out that machine next time we are there!!! That is awesome!!!! And good for you on the no sugar!! It has to be hard!

Isn't it unbelievable, a cupcake atm?!
Waiting, longing for a certain sweet surrender, I suppose....
Cheers,

Jeanneke.

I try to avoid sugar so stopped putting it in my coffee and as I have two cups everyday that's quite a lot of sugar I don't take in any more! But the sweets I don't stop not till I need to. I only eat a couple of sweets a week so that's not too much is it?AriadnefromGreece!

Fabulous picture, Kirsty. Only in America could you find a cupcake ATM! Well, that might be changing too. I've been trying to limit the sweet stuff. I think this might be wise, just 7 days a month. Guess I could give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration.

How much fun is that, Kirsty, how "sweet" it would be to have one if the cupcakes would be fresh! Yummy!

Goodness! A cupcake ATM. That sounds deliciously sweet. And your sugar challenge sounds very interesting. I've been trying to cut back too and then when I have something particularly sweet, I now sometimes feel ill from having too much. I might have to give your routine a try.

A cupcake ATM....whatever next! LOL.... Cutting down on sugar is definitely a good thing and is something that I am really trying to do this year as well. Little steps....but I will get there! ;-)
