Project Life 2014 ~ November 10 to 13

Project Life 2014

November 10
We supposed to fly to NYC early this morning, after a few days on the road, that is the last thing we feel like doing, but we were glad that the flight was delayed a few hours, so I get to stay home with Papi a little longer, he is staying at home and our neighbor Diane will be coming over to check on him.

I am going to miss him..... (sop sop)

We got into the city after 10 PM, stayed at a hotel near Korean Town, we had late supper there, it was great!

November 11

Whenever I come to New York, my breakfast is always at Le Pain Quotidien. I had hot spiced apple cider and my usual smoked salmon

It is Veteran's Day today, we saw the Parade on 5th ave on our walk to Le Pain Quotidien.

that brought tears to my eyes....

after breakfast, I walk to Bryant park while waiting for Dolce to finish class and then come meet me in the city.

Christmas shops and skating ring are up this time of the year at Bryant Park

when Dolce gets in, we went shopping in midtown, we went to uniqlo and get a super light down jacket for my husband, I bought mine while I was in San Francisco few months ago, it was so light and thin, it can be stored in a tiny pouch and throw in my purse, it keeps me so warm, so I really don't need to bring my thick winter jacket anywhere now, you can't believe that I only carry hand carrier when I travel, even to cold weather place like NYC.

While we were in the store, we had to take picture with our phone and send it my husband and asked him which color he likes

Dinner is again our favorite Joe's Shanghai soup dumpling, spicy cabbage in China Town, and I always leave room for China Town ice cream, yum....

from the front door of our hotel, we could see the Empire State Building, it was Red, white and blue since it is Veteran's Day.

November 12

Dolce has no class today, so she came into the city early, we went to La Pain Quotidien for breakfast once again... this time, I get my favorite croissant.

Dolce and I went to Soho for more shopping today.... just look at the cute stuff we got, my powder even has paw print on it...

and then we went to China Town for some yummy noodles and of course China Town ice cream again...

we met up with my DH at Katz for dinner, if you don't know yet, Katz is famous for their pastrami sandwich and is one of the film site for "When Harry Met Sally". The most famous scene in that movie is where Sally Albright fakes an orgasm while sat in the deli opposite Harry Burns. Inside the restaurant the table where actress Meg Ryan and actor Billy Crystal sat at for that scene is marked with a sign above the table today.

After dinner, DH and I take a walk in Times Square, they were promoting Warlords... a video game I guess...

November 13

DH has to work today, and Dolce has class till 1 PM, I did a little shopping and then took the 7 train to flushing to met up with Dolce for lunch before I get to the airport and catch our flight home. Lunch is some sort of Sichuan food, spicy and yummy, if I didn't show you the picture of me and the bowl, you can't tell how huge that is

off to airport after lunch, going home to see my Papi boy!
