PTI Make it Monday 166 ~ Debossing Stamped Images

The Challenge:

this is a fun one, you gotta try it!

I used this technique on the left panel of the baby announcement card I make for a friend as sample.

and here's the baby announcement card

since I do not have the baby photo yet, I just grab one on my desk (I printed it for a layout but didn't use it in the end, I know, it is funny that it is the photo of the Rolling Stones, LOL, but this is only a sample card so please excuse me for the photo)

left panel is going to be for personal notes such as baby's name, weight, height etc.

finishing touch.....

Ok, next......
I have a product question, please share your thoughts.

If you are here often, you probably already know that I am a huge fan of this stamp company (no name mentioned, uh hm.....), ever since I found them 4-5 years ago, I have been purchasing their products on a monthly basis, and recently even twice a month because they just join in the kits market too.
For my April purchase, I do encountered a problem, one of the stamp broke when I peel it off from the plastic sheet, it is brand new, I simply removed it from the plastic sheet and trying to transfer it to the CD case, it just broke as I peel it off. So I wrote to them, not once, but 3 emails, and till today, I have not hear from anyone from the computer, well..... what kind of customer service they are providing? I know they are getting big and lots of fans, but is that a way to do business?

What would you do if you are in my shoe?

Seriously, I am getting a little upset and pissed here, not that I have no patience, but it has been nearly a month since my first email to them, saying good bye for something I loved and used to for a long time sure is hard, but I am thinking..... there are lots of companies and products out there, should I switch? I personally beginning to love the products of My Favorite Things, what do you think of them?

Please share your thoughts and advice, thanks!

Your card is so pretty, Kirsty and has a lot of wonderful details. I do not know what company you are talking about, but have you tried calling because maybe they have not received your emails. All I can say, but good luck!

Your card is wonderful, love the flowers.
Maybe give the company one more chance? If it doesn´t work, you know what to do!!!

Wow ... I can't believe they haven't responded to you!! That is horrible -- have you looked to see if they have a FB page and maybe try contacting them there??? I would maybe try that avenue as a last resort --- and if they ignore you there, or even worse, if they delete your comment, then I would drop them -- there are so many amazing stamp companies out there, I am sure you could find one that has amazing customer service too!!

I loveeeeeeeee your project! LOVING those flowers!!!!!!

Scrappy products are expensive and I would be really cheesed off if they don't even reply to an e-mail. Personally I love MFT products and would start buying them tomorrow if your R/$ exchange rate weren't so hectic.

Your card is so lovely! I really like the debossing- it creates a beautifully soft look and perfect for this baby card.

As much as I love certain suppliers, if they can't stand by their products I feel you are totally within common decency to move on to other suppliers. You could try, as others have suggested, to give them a call. However, if they have an email, they have the professional responsibility to respond. As good as any one supplier is, there are ten other suppliers with product just as good. In the end, consumer loyal is not a responsibility of the consumer. It is a precious gift to the supplier who should recognize such and respond in kind.

I saw that technique and looks like fun! Great job! I love the look!Yep, maybe try calling. I called a certain company and told them I love your products and would love to buy more but your shipping is to slow, were talking three weeks after I order! now I receive my stuff in a more timely manner!

P.S. I love the products from MFT but I do think they are more expensive and that certain company :-). And I think theres only so much you can charge for a die. If they were more compairable in price I'd buy more from them

First, what a beautiful card Kirsty and I love the debossing technique (note to self: try it soon). Second, as already mentioned there are so many great stamp companies out there, customer service should be a-one priority. You are using amazing restraint by not mentioning their name. If you don't want to phone them, definitely go to their Facebook page and make a comment or personal message. If still no satisfaction, I'd go ahead and name them wherever and whenever. Hugs and good luck, Kathy

Oh my goodness, Kirsty! This card is absolutely beautiful. I love all of the wonderful details that you put into it!
And regarding the stamp company, do they provide a telephone number? I would try calling them. You definitely deserve to get a new stamp - they should not tear!!!

Oooh, did I read 'Happy Birthday' is in order!! I hope you had a great day!
Your card is outstanding - its super cool in design and colour (you do that well always!)
And the stamp company, hmmmn, after 3 emails... I'm not so patient as the other responses here... I don't enjoy extended 'avoidance' assuming its in hope you will 'go away'. It's happened to me, and after my post (same as yours on my blog quite a while ago now- not the same company)it suddenly came to their attention somehow, I did get a very hastened email back and quite an effort to fix the problem. You are right - the stamp should not have torn. And its not a big fix for them surely!

Good luck with it Kirsty :)

Your baby announcement is so gorgeous with all the framing, Kirsty! In regards to the stamp company. I agree, I would try calling them. I've only had trouble with one stamp company and when I called them they were very kind. MFT products are more expensive, but have great quality and fast shipping time. I do hope you get answers to your stamp problem soon! Take care, hugs!

Ooh, what a sweet baby announcement! And LOL in the Rolling Stones photo. :)

As far as the stamp company...maybe your emails are not getting through, for some reason (technical difficulties). As others have suggested above, I would try contacting them in a different way, by phone or social media. Good luck!

I just love this Kirsty, I had to smile at the demo photo you put in there.

So sorry to hear about the problem your having with the stamp company. I do hope you get it resolved.

Hugs~

Ooh, this is so beautiful, Kirsty! Love the design of this to pieces! Gorgeous frame for the baby-to-be's photo, and I love that there's room on the side for extras and details. Looks like a present the way you have it tied up. LOVE!
So, so sorry to hear about your customer service issues...wow, that is really not okay. I think I would opt for trying to call them so you could speak to a live body...if that doesn't work, I bet a comment on their blog would get a response...:(

Oh my goodness--this is one incredible baby announcement card! So many beautiful details, perfectly designed! Customer Service counts for a lot & not answering is certainly unacceptable. I love MFT & they have great sales off & on, but I agree some things seem really priced too high. I'm on a spending freeze, so hoping Mr Random picks me--LOL!

Love your baby card and the die bossed images!

Hey Kirsty, a wonderful project have you made here!
I think it's not customer-focussed if the don't reply mails. In my opinion MFT has a lot of great stuff but they are more expensive and have an other style.

Love the technique you shared. What a gorgeous announced this will be when you add the sweet baby picture.

Kristy, I would contact them again and address the fact that you have been a good customer and are very disappointed that you emails are being ignored. Be sure to check to be sure you are using the correct email address.
