Project Life 2014 ~ April 1 - 10

I am keeping up to date with my project life, just find it hard to find a slot to post it, so it is May and I am just posting for April! : (

Project Life 2014

In April, I find as many pastel paper I have at home to use for my project life spread

April 2
My friend Anna and Jenn came over to my house and learn how to make "soon kueh", a savory sneak from the province of Teochew in China.

April 4
Papi and I went for a walk, I always enjoy our time together

April 7
My little girl turned 22 today.
Happy Birthday Clare!
I help out a friend and work at a convention all day today. My husband said Papi is lost when I am not home, he would stay downstairs all day and wait for me to come home even my hubby is upstairs in our room.

April 8
Once again, I reminded myself to be THANKFUL for the things I have
When I worked all day at the convention, my husband would drive me there and then pick me up again, and we went for a good meal at the strip after my work.
Today I crave for coconut cake, so I bake myself one, I can bring that to work tomorrow.

April 9
One more day at the convention, brought lunch and coconut cake for dessert, home cooked meal is the best.
What's the difference between Mom and Dad? When Mom is not home, Papi eats spaghetti out of my husband plate when he walk away from the table to do his laundry, oh no!!!!! Hubby said he forgot to take photo, you should look at Papi's face full of spaghetti sauce, that must be funny!

We are leaving for Seattle and Vancouver tomorrow, I am starting to feel sad to leave Papi behind, the last time when we traveled, our friend Brendan took care of Papi, but he can't discipline Papi, so Papi ended up chewing the electronic cords and poop on the carpet, I don't know how all that happened because Papi is house broken, he never make any mistake at home, he always go to his wee wee pad to do his business, anyway, we ended up paying Brendan $230 for his damage so this time, my husband is thinking to put Papi at PetSmart Hotel, which I am very much against, it doesn't cost a lot but Papi will be staying in a confined area 23 hours a day, so sad..... I think I want to cancel the trip. I throw out the idea of leaving Papi at home and have our neighbor Diane come check him out 2-3 times a day. Diane dog-sit for our other neighbor too, but my husband didn't response when I bring up this topic. On our way home from dinner, Diane happened to walk by our front door after checking out the neighbor's dogs, my husband said "That must be the sign" Oh yay, now I am happy that Papi can be at home while we travel and Diane will check on him.

April 10

We are leaving this evening, I went to get a baby-cam for Papi, set it up so we could watch him when we are on the road.
We arrived past midnight at Seattle, staying at The W hotel, very close to the water, I am gong to Pike Place Market tomorrow!

Lovely pages here Kirsty ... I know just how you feel about leaving Papi ... I am like that with my little ginger cat! I know Mikey takes good care of him but I also know he misses me so much ... he never leaves my side. Try and enjoy your trip ... My friend Pat looks after peoples dogs when they go away ... she love the little dogs and takes them into her home ... so sweet...

Hello Kirsty, I'm so happy to see your Project Life pages, way to go on them!!
I don't like leaving Lucky even for a few hours, I always worry or think she's lonely. It was so hard to go to Disney World last year and leave her with my sister sitting at our house. She did so well and I'm relieved but don't want to do it again.
That's awesome your neighbor can keep an eye on him for you, YAY!! If we lived closer I would happily watch and play with Papi for you.

Hope you had a nice Mother's Day, it was a good day for me. I have my scrapbook pages posted now, YAY!! Wait till you read it and see, I know you will be happy! Hoping to have PL later this week! Take care and enjoy that sweet dog of yours!

I love Seattle--hope you had a great trip, Kirsty, & that Papi did well staying home. That is the worst part of trips when our fur-babies can't go. Wonderful pages!

These are awesome. I love how you used pastels for the entire month. What a fabulous idea to create cohesion and keep yourself organized/focused each month.
