Let it snow....

Am I going to stop making christmas card?
Even though all my holiday mails are out but I am still keep making them, well, for Christmas 2013 I guess : )

I guess I am really thinking ahead here, the postage for my christmas parcels cost a lot this year, that is probably why I am using less layer here, a card like this cost a 0.45 stamp to send it here in the US, but if it is the bulky one, with or without the padded envelope, it costs 1.95 instead, that's fine if you are sending just a couple, but if all of your cards need 1.95 instead of 0.45, that could cost a bit, moreover, a lot of my mails actually go overseas, that cost even more.

.......

I am feeling extremely down the past 2 days, when I go to work, I hug my kids in class, especially the class I am taking are kids age 4-6. When I was at the public places, I just keep my eyes on little kids, especially the very young ones like 4-5 years old, I rarely want to bring up headline news here as I believe people had enough of sad news from TV and other media, I just want to share something happy here on my blog.
Whenever I walk into the school premises, I thought, when is going to be my turn, my school, the kids I am teaching..... sigh......  I think I am deeply affected by this horrible incident, to the point that I don't want to do anything on weekends, I just want to come home after dinner (this is not like us), I turn the TV off, because I would cry every time I see the screen, even when the TV is on mute and I hear nothing.
Sorry to "vent" here my blog friend, but I am feeling really really down right now

God bless our children, children all over the world!

Oh Kirsty...how senseless that shootings were. My heart goes out to you and to the parents of the children whose lives were cut short in such a violent way.

I think everyone is heartbroken after what happened, this is very sad. Words are so inadequate at a time like this.
Your card is great Kirsty! I love the pink.
Take care xxx

What a lovely card, but I do not see a WOJ image used on your card, which is needed in order to be eligable for a prize or a top 3. HUgs, Marion

I am having to avoid the news as much as possible, too, Kirsty......just can't even begin to make sense of the horror. I can understand why you are feeling so down right now. Hugs to you...
Love your fun snowy card! The die cut lettering sentiment is adorable and I love all that sweet pink. You are so good to be working ahead on your holiday cards for next year already. I haven't even made any for this year.

My dear dear friend ... I am sympathising with you and all those families who have suffered. I am thinking of you all the way from the UK ... sending you a cyber hug ... do you feel it? Scream and shout all you want Kirsty to vent your feelings but don't let yourself become another of his victims my friend ... He has taken enough! Smile and know that you are a survivor of many things including this ... ♥♥♥♥♥♥

oh yes, the sheer horror of what happened... I think we all relate to the pain the parents and relatives must be going through right now... But Ros is right, too, you should try not to let fear cripple you. Wishing you strength...

Your card is gorgeous :). You are right, too much sad news on media and we need time to heal and rest. I felt the same way here in KL, children are our most precious treasure. Our future. Though I don't have kids, I enjoy their laughter and giggles, their pure hearts and minds. Happy Christmas, Kirsty!. Stay warm :).
