I am back....

Hello friends....

I am back

to my little nest

except

it is

EMPTY

now

.....

........

I was trying very hard not to be sad the whole way home

but I think the feeling of empty-nest syndrome had won the battle

.....

...........

as mother

taking care of my children seems like the only purpose in life

out of a sudden

they are all gone

and I didn't know what my purpose was anymore

....

......

..........

....

right now

I probably need time

and find things to keep my mind busy

...
...
...
...
...

I hope I will continue to find

JOY

on my path

as I know

some things will never change

regardless

you

are

far

or

near

Kirsty, I am with you girl! I did it four times and it never is easy or gets easier. But i will tell you that you are still needed by the two who have spread their wings and flown from the nest! It is different for them than it was for us, but it will still be the same. Now you are going to have me time, enjoy it, you are the perfect age to have some fun! Love you lots, hugs and hang in there, your blog friends will get you through it!

think all mothers feel the same- but it is great to see: they can stay alone too

What a sweet post this is Kirsty, so full of love... You have taken care of your girls and will continue to do so, even though they're no longer staying underneath the same roof anymore. You just need time to adjust...

Aww Kirsty!. Sending lots of hugs to you. Being a mother is the most beautiful and important job in the world, you will always be needed no matter when or where you are!. Now you have more 'ME' time to be enjoyed, do your crafting and more travelling perhaps. You're are adjusting and rest assured that you are much LOVED!.

awwww!!! ♥♥♥ i know you miss them, but now you have more excuses to visit LA & NYC!!! :) :) :)

plus, having dedicated this last segment of your life to being a mom--and quite brilliantly, at that--you have well and truly EARNED the next segment, which can be about "me-time", "art-time", "couple time", "travel time"... and... well, heck, WHO KNOWS what will be next, and even that is pretty exciting!!!! ♥♥♥
