My Card Style

Even since I read the blog post on Moxie Fab World about card style, I kept thinking, what is my style, the past few days I have been playing with my paper and thinking a lot at the same time, hmmm..... I think I finally got the answer! My card style is Shabby and Vintage, this is one style that I love and feel very comfortable doing it. Here's one I created today.

This is based on the sketch over at Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #121

And I pick up the colors from The Play Date Cafe PDCC 38

I love making this tissue paper flower, I've made them in many colors, this one is one of my favorite shades, purple/lilac.

"Birthday wishes" stamp is from Papertrey Ink

And the fabric button is covered with 2 different fabric from the scrap stash a girlfriend gave it to me many years ago when she decided to move back to CA after living in New York City for more than 20 years.

Next to that fabric button, you see the yellow pin, and 2 dew drops (lilac and green), I thought they go well together. I placed the dew drops on the tiny tag, I love making tags!

Pearl in the middle of my tissue paper is from Martha Stewart Craft
Seam binding ribbons in 2 different shades.

Tag Tuesday

This is a tag I made for Tag Tuesday Challenge # 59
This week challenge is all about HEART

My HEART here is from Tim Holtz, I covered it with lilac glitters, I'd have to admit that I am still bad at doing this glitter thing, anyone has tips for me, I just can't get it done nicely.

The flowers are from Prima of course, my favorite

Bird cage and black bird stamp is from Papeterie
I stamped the black bird, cut it and place is outside the cage intentionally because I like a bird with freedom

Butterfly stamp is from Papertrey Ink

Pearls on the tag is from Recollections

The buttons are from Papertrey Ink, and also the twine
Seam Binding wrinkle ribbon is from Etsy

Pattern Paper is from K & Company

つまみかんざし I love all things Japanese!

Click HERE to see the "English Ros" card made for City Crafter Challenge Blog

When I saw this at Colour Q, I told myself, I NEED to do this. I just have this special thing for Japanese, I love all things Japanese, I learn the language and my teacher thought she never teach any foreigner that speak with the exact Japanese accent like me, I visited Japan, I even tell my husband that I want to live there someday, this is one of our plan when he stop working! I think I am a Japanese in my past life!

Over at Colour Q, Arielle chosen the theme inspired by つまみかんざし, here's my take.

I made this card based on the sketch over at Chi Chi Memories

I thought this Pink floral DP is kind of Japanese, doesn't it look like cherry blossom?

Here's the sentiment with 2 tiny tags, my favorite things to use
