Our Beautiful World 108 ~ Stitch/es

This week at

Mandysea picked the word

Stitch/es

I have a box of goodies waiting to be stitched....

they are so beautiful and precious, I was reluctant to use them, LOL!

And there's an interesting story behind this box.

when I moved to NYC in 2003, I brought along a Japanese patch work book with me, but I slowly realized that I couldn't get any of those materials shown in the pattern book, so I looked at the back of the book, emailed them to see if they ship overseas, the answer was NO, but guess what, the author of the book was going to make a trip to NYC and she had agreed to bring some of the materials I wanted, not only that, she didn't even want to take my money upfront, she said she trusted me and would collect the money only when she arrived. So, we met up at a restaurant, I got what I wanted, paid her, and brought my patch work book and came home with her autograph too, how cool is that!

Come tell us your story behind your photo at

Beautiful fabrics and fabulous story, Kirsty, I am sure you will find something to use them for one day soon. Perhaps for a future grand baby...I know that is probably way down the line, but wouldn't that be special? Happy Sunday!

Fabulous, Kirsty. It is hard not to "collect" those beautiful fabrics. I will hope you use the fabric with such a wonderful story and we get to see!
