Project Life 2014 ~ October 13 to 20

Project Life 2014

October 13

I make some salted caramel buttercream today because tomorrow I am going to try making French Macarons at home, this will be my first try after taking class at Sur la Table last week

it is really yummy!

October 14

My first try at French Macaron
Well, failure!

Mistake 1 - no foot
Mistake 2 - cracked shell
Mistake 3 - hollow inside

although it didn't turn out well like we made in class, the taste is still there though, and they look good after I pretty them up a little....

I am sure I will try again after I get the right equipment to sift my almond flour, I will also aged the egg white as well as lower the temperature of my oven! We'll see!

October 19

I am taking my 2nd class at Sur la Table today - making croissant

lots of work....

we make 3 kinds of croissants in class, the plain ones, chocolate, and ham and cheese

October 20

DH and I play tourists today, we took the big bus tour in Las Vegas, this is another Frank Gehry's structure - The Cleveland Clicnic

pass by the container park, where the shops are all made out of containers

and the mob museum, which we haven't visit even living in Las Vegas for more than 4 years

Your macarons look perfect to me Kirsty which is probably no comfort to you! :) But it's all about taste to me, and they look so very pretty packaged up that way.
You made those croissants! They look amazing. One of my fav sweet foods!

What an incredible building that clinic is! Looks like it's about to fall down! lol.
I hadn't realised that Las Vegas could be so interesting to look at, just thought it was all about casinos etc.
Wonderful scrapping(?) pages you've made too. Such a lovely way to journal events or even just days.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and I didn't even take part in OBW last weekend! ♥
