Our Beautiful World Week 3 ~ Lace

is a place where you can share photographs taken by you from your part of the world

We have a new word prompt every Sunday

and this week is

It all started nearly 2 years ago, I stopped by some yard sale with my daughters, and found this beautiful rose saucer

and this plate

and there was the beginning of this idea

I want to collect pretty plates from yard sale and thrift store, and I can have my own miss-match Alice tea party at home

not just from Las Vegas, I found a pretty good stack in New York City while I went thrifting with Lauren too.

imagine how I brought this stack home from NYC?

but wait.....

aren't we talking about LACE

and not rose?

Yep, it is part of my plan

to find a lacy border plate to match my rose plate

I finally did....

they are like 0.75 per piece, in perfect condition, I grabbed 6 from the shelf the minute I saw them, and regretted after I walked around the other side of the aisle, thinking I should just get all of them, there were 8, but guess what, it was gone 5 minutes later, so I had to settled with just 6, oh well....

I still get a beautiful stack there though...

would you like to come over for tea now?

join us!!!!

Oh yes!! I'm here to stay for tea :). What a gorgeous plates!!. They are all so precious, both lacy and the rosy ones. I used to seeing laced plates at the flea market here, then no more ... great photo compositions too, Kirsty. I LOVE that you add some jasmine flowers too, nostalgic :).

My grandmother used to grow jasmine tree and in the mornings she would make me pick fresh flowers to keep in her hand-made 'bedak sejuk' bottles :). Sweet memories!
