Halloween Card # 1 (2010)

This is my first Halloween Card for the year, I just received these papers from MME and wanted to use them immediately, but when I am done with the card, I realized that I made a mistake by putting too many layers on a DP like this, oh well, I post it anyway hoping to get some good advice from my blog friends, so please share your thought! : )

I think I am going to try using these DP again, and create another Halloween card with a simpler look!

Another new thing here is the roll flower, something new I just learn and trying to perfect it

This card is going to enter the challenge over at

I used a double sided tape in the middle of the card, pour some green color glitters over it
And the Tim Holtz frame behind the button, is also covered with orange color glitters

Day 20 (September 18, 2010)

This flower looks almost 3-D to me, it is in it's original form, "un-touch", no photo shop, nothing done! 100 percent original!

Day 21 (September 19, 2010)

My favorite shades...... this incense cone and ceramic holder with lavender scent was bought at Bath Spa near Bristol, England. I love England and wish to go back again someday!

Hi Kirsty,
it's a lovely Halloween card you made, the background paper is gorgeous and the embellies just wonderful!

You did a great job with all the pretty elements but I agree with you they don't pop as much against the busy paper in the photo ... but in the "flesh" I'm sure it will look so tactile and stunning...

Kristy, this card is gorgeous! The double stick tape idea is genius!

Gorgeous card girl! The paper is wonderful! What about cutting out the same Halloween character and popping it out on your card so it brings the focus back to the cute characters? Just a thought, but it really doesn't need it.

Neat Halloween card! Not scary at all, rather lovely, in fact.
