Morning Walks and City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 429 ~ Fall Colors

It has been slightly over a week since we moved to the new house, I felt like I haven't get anything done, let alone setting up my craft room.
I haven't been able to sleep well at night and wake up every hour because I have some much on my mind.... need to get the pantry, kitchen going, get the curtains up for privacy etc.... whew.....
Since I got up early every morning at 6, I take Papi for our morning walk....

that's the nice thing about Vegas, we are surrounded by mountains, when I walk out of our gated community, I see mountains from far.....

and when I turn right, I see our Lone Mountain, the one used to be at our backyard....

and on our way home before turning right into our community, I am facing the mountains again.....

Papi already knows his way home, he knows when to make the right turn.......

There is so much rules with the HOA, not only we have to pay nearly $200 to the HOA, we had to get approval for any little thing we want to do in our own backyard, like putting in a plant..... we are so angry about that, I put in a little garden/pee pad for Papi on the very next day we moved in because I didn't want him to just pee anywhere in the backyard, so I am retraining him to just do his business at pee pad garden, and then we found out that we probably would get a fine for that because we didn't submit our application for approval before making that garden pee pad! That makes me so angry!

the garden is not complete yet, we still need the edges done but it is on hold because of the HOA, right now, I have the pea gravel on top of some other soil and rocks and mesh, at least Papi has a spot to go to do his business, I think the mushroom is not very happy getting watered everyday though, LOL!

Ok, better keep this short since I still need to get back to unpacking, LOL!

Here's the project for City Crafter Challenge Blog, the theme is Fall Colors, check out challenge details HERE!

I hope you stop by City Crafter Challenge Blog and join us this week!

Oh what a neat card, Kirsty--beautiful! Bummer you didn't know about the HOA rules--sounds like they're pretty ridiculous. Hope you get some rest--will make it easier to get things done. Sending hugs, Greta

HOA and their rules! Ugh!! I hear you on that! Hopefully you don't get fined for making a place for Papi! You'd think they would be happy that you are designating a spot for him, instead of all of the yard! oy! Love love love your card! Gorgeous colors!!!!!!!!!1

Fantastic shaker card - love the colors. Heading over to check out the challenge now.

Sorry about the HOA. We have similar problems with them here in Arizona. Supposedly the rules prevent loss in home value. However, often the good people are penalized and the problems aren't solved through the HOA. Hopefully you can apply and get approval, if retroactive.

HOA's are for the dogs, oh wait, they're not for the dogs :) Very nice CAS fall card for the challenge.

Very pretty fall card, Kirsty! Sorry to hear about the silly HOA rules! I would certainly enjoy a morning walk with the lovely scenery that you see around your home! Hope you can sleep better. Buying a new home brings lots of things to do. You can do it...one thing at a time! Hugs!

Hopefully once you get all moved in and things the way you want them you'll feel better about your new home. (especially your craft room! then it will feel like home.) Love your beautiful autumn card! So cool how you die cut the leaves and your pretty background shows through!

Such beautiful scenery and a lovely fall card, Kirsty! That HOA should have no problem with your garden. Everything will feel better once you are settled in more and sleeping well again. I suppose the kitchen should come first, but I would really long for my crafting space!

What a nuisance to have to follow those rules... They are plain stupid! Sorry to hear that you are not sleeping too well - I hope that resolves soon my friend. Your card is stunning ... I love this! I'm so happy that my card arrived... I've been holding on to it until I thought you were in the new house... You take care... Big hugs (love the photos by the way!)

Love your card, Kirsty! The fall colors are so beautiful, and I adore the negative die cut work here. Such a cool ombre effect with the inks, too.
Hope you get settled into your new home, soon. It can be so overwhelming at first, and change can be really hard, but I'm sure you'll grow to love it. Too bad about the HOA, though.... they are such a pain!

Fabulous fall colours and love the die cutting and the colours peeping through on your card. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos of where you live and sorry that the 'conditions' are so strict about planting etc. At least papi is happy, even if the mushroom is not x.

Oh dear - sounds like your moving experience has been a mixed bag so far...the wonderful scenery and the annoying HOA. Your card is beautiful with those gorgeous colours peeking through.

Love it! That's such a visually pleasing technique. All those warm colors popping through the die cut areas.

HOAs are too much drama! Let us know what happens. Just take Papi to the meeting and they’ll give in! Pretty card!
