Our Beautiful World 44 ~ Fruit

This week at

Milagros picked the word

FRUIT

Fruits are like flowers, they are the best target for photography, at least it is for me.
When I browse through my photo folders, I could easily find photos for fruits

This one was taken at Chiang Mai market

all kinds of fruits at the local market

and this is what we called KING of fruits in South East Asia, the durian, if you like it, you would think it smells good, for those who doesn't like it, like my husband, he said it smells like wet socks left in the car on a hot day.

these are what was served on our breakfast table every morning at Sukantara Cascade Resorts, Chiang Mai, I want to go back there......

and this little cup of mixed fruit comes with the Parisian breakfast that cost 20 euro.

these are preserved, a lot of sugar were added of course, but they are really really yummy on french bread, it is my favorite blueberry jam at Le Pain Quotidian.

these are fresh and heathy

but after adding sugar, butter, and flour, they are delicious apple crumble, my husband favorite dessert but I am sure it is not that healthy anymore.

Ok, I better stop now, the above are just a tiny faction of my fruits collection.... LOL!

Now come show us yours

Hi Kirsty..what a mouthwatering topic. Love strawberries..well really any berries - we went picking them on the farms in Tasmania last Nov. But I must say I do love tropical fruit..have never eaten Durian but do love Mangostenes - mangoes too and pineapple, and pawpaw with lemon..all of them. BUT I do love the good old Apple Crumble and fancy that I had it for dinner last night. Have a great week Cheers Robyn

Hi Kirsty,
yes, strawberrys are my favorite fruits at the moment :-)
I have often see the durian fruit in asia but never tested it. I hope they taste not like wet socks! I have read that there is a durian ban in undergrounds in singapore because of the smell.
The apple crumble looks so delicious, i also love to eat them fresh from the oven :-))
A great photo variety of fruits
I wish you a wondeful week!

Beautiful photo's, Kirsty, wish I could visit an open air market like your photo. I remember doing so in Indonesia, but never saw strawberries there! Your crumble is making me hungry! Have a lively Sunday.

Totally delicious! Such pretty food shots Kirsty! I happen to love the durian, although you shouldn't be eating too much of it, unless you wish to get drunk ;-)

I've missed commenting all week. However, I've caught up in my reading. Your pictures, as usual, are so stunning. I feel like driving out to get me some strawberries for dinner! Such a great set of photos from the word prompt.

A yummy post indeed. So many wonderful photo Kirsty.

The weather here in Colorado is so different than in Vegas, We are still running our heater most of the day. And where we are moving too next week is suppose to be even colder. But I am enjoying it here. And its nice to have a change.

Hope you have a wonderful week my friend.

Hugs~

What awesome photos, Kirsty! Love the market photos! You are so lucky that you get to travel to so many exotic places. I would love to try that durian fruit because I've never even heard of it before...although I am a bit scared of the stinky sock smell. ;)
