Project Life 2014 ~ February 11 - 15

Project Life 2014

February 11

This is still part of my trip to Singapore, I am using Becky Higgin's PL vintage travel collection.

Today I met up with my friends Judy and Esther, we met when our kids were 2 years old attending play club, now all our kids are in Uni or collage, how time flies.

Husband arrived in Singapore late in the evening, we went to Newton Hawker center for supper.

February 12

After lunch, we went to Fort Canning Park, on our way there, we saw this "dog" that matches my husband shirt, we just had to take this picture to show Papi....

Located on a hill, Fort Canning Park is one of Singapore's most historic landmarks.

During World War ll, the hill was instrumental in Singapore's war efforts with numerous military buildings located there.

The decision to surrender Singapore to the Japanese was made by the British there at the Fort Canning Bunker (or Battle Box)

Today's Fort Canning Park's distinctive charm remains with its lush greenery.

great view of the Marina Sands from top of the hill, the Raffles House

February 13

Breakfast was my husband's favorite Old Change Kee's chicken wings, and then my aunt treated us lunch at Five Star Chicken Rice, Dinner was at Apollo Banana leaf Indian restaurant, after dinner, Aunt came picked us up and took us to The Wine Company at Changi. Was a fun day with lots of delicious food I missed so much.

February 14

Last day here in Singapore. Our friend Dick and Liz happened to be on their last stop of the 29 days cruise, we are happy to play host and took them to Garden by the Bay, the latest attraction in Singapore. We planned to go there on our last trip but on our way there, I was having a bad tummy so had to went back to the hotel and rest, we finally made it this time.

I wasn't prepare for Garden by the Bay so I didn't have my canon with me, good that I always have my point and shot in my purse.

I have to tell you that Singapore did everything well, this is like the Bellagio botanical garden only it is 20 times bigger and I am proud to say, everything you see is in an air-conditional area, what a great job Singapore!

February 14 this year happened to falls on the last day of Chinese New Year, which is also called the Chinese Valentine's Day, according to the calendar, the 2 Valentine's day only meet once in like thousand years.

My PTI February order arrived and I just had to use the Monthly Moment with its Love and Heart theme

Most Chinese Family do another reunion dinner on the last day of Chinese New Year (besides the one on Chinese New Year's eve), our family usually don't, but since we are home, my aunt hosted one at her apartment, I get to see my aunt and uncle whom I didn't see for decade.

We went to the airport at 3:30 to catch the 5:30 AM flight back to Vegas, Singapore and Vegas is 16 hours different, despite the nearly 24 hours journey, we still landed in Las Vegas on February 16, 1 PM. It is like only 7 hours since we were at Singapore Changi Airport, that's the thing, we lost a day on our way there and gain a day back.

AND.........

I am HOME and get to see my baby today!!!!!

What did Papi think of your husband's new orange friend? The pictures are great even if they are with a point and click, maybe because the garden was so beautiful? Lovely Project Life pages. TFS
