December Daily 2013 - December 1

I don't know why, but out of a sudden on one sunny afternoon here in Vegas, I decided to do December Daily.
I usually do not like "long going" project mainly because I already have a lot of half-way done projects lying on, under and around the craft table, but anyway, I already committed to it, so here's my December Daily!

December 1st, 2013

Here's another reason I couldn't understand why I choose to do December Daily this year, usually December is the happiest time, but I am not in my prettiest mood the past few weeks, things around me feels kind of flat, don't get me wrong, no drama or nothing really bad happened, just the mood, I am feeling really tired, and feeling empty emotionally, how could this be a good time to be documented?
When I lived in New York City, I have my girlfriend Jean, whenever I feel down, I would walk 10 blocks to her upper west side apartment, and I always remember getting out of her apartment feeling better, she doesn't believe me when I told her that she is my guru, my therapist, but now Jean is gone, she moved to Milan and I moved to Las Vegas..... *sigh.....

Anyway, on December 1st, I started going through my "inspiration" folder and found this

source - unknown (if this is yours, please let me know so I could link back)

CUPCAKES!!!!

Why didn't I think of that? So.... when we went out for lunch at Panera Bread, I bought this

and after this

and left with this

I really do feel better!

In fact, as I was typing this, I thought,

I need another cupcake!!!!

does sugar really do magic?

Anyway, back to my page, I make a shorter list of "Things to do when you are SAD"

and then leave the back of the page for lots of journaling, which I did after I took photograph of the page, I also learn that I NEED to write when I am stressed, venting through my pen helps

alright, so here is my 1st page

Let's December Daily

Eating a cupcake might help while you are eating, but it could lead to more depression the next day, be careful! when I am down, I like to clean up in the craft room, put away something I was using, then I start thinking about all the things I have to play with. I usually end up playing and create something wonderful! I also love to hold my kitten! Beautiful December 1 page, Kirsty. right now you are making me very hungry! Have a wonderful Thursday. Ps...you can always e-mail me when you are sad, I will find something to cheer you up!

Hey sweetie ... this is such a pretty page ... It made me sad that I couldn't be with you to share your cake ... well no, I'm not a fan of cupcakes but it would be good just to be there and hug you.

What a fine way to get rid of your sad feelings Kirsty, sometimes life is like that. Your page looks wonderful though, despite the negative load.

That cupcake looks great, and it's making me feel hungry! I like your shorter version of the list--I think you chose the best items from the original list. Hope you feel better soon!

Hello there, WOW, this is great news and a lovely first page!! I'm sorry your feeling a little down lately. That is usually me coming of my Thanksgiving/November living on cloud 9 for a month and sudden CRASH, it's December and I don't want to be here mood. This year I actually have done pretty well, started my own advent reading and bible time in the morning is helping me stay focused on HIM and not the craziness around me.

So excited about this and hope you will continue to more layouts. Great way to document your sweet little dog's first Christmas.

Sending you hugs and holiday cheers to help you along. Sometimes YES chocolate/sugar does help us.

Oh, WOW! This is SO beautiful, Kirsty! I love, love your design here. Great mix of papers and wonderful collage-style design. Fun photo, too, and I really adore your list. Sorry to hear you've got the blahs. I think the holidays do that to us sometimes.....like some miraculous and magical feelings are supposed to fill us up...and sometimes they just don't. And that's okay, too. Hugs to you!

Beautiful, Kirsty. I mean, the page is quite lovely, but your sentiment and sharing is beautiful. These little encouragements help us all and I will hope that your "Things to Do" list is a comfort til you get all your mojo back!
