LESSology ~ Cover Girl

"Cover Girl"

Our theme for LESSology Challenge #24 is to altered cover, book cover, jar cover, any kind of cover.

I bought this rolodex at the thrift store some time ago, it cost me only 50 cents because the cover has a crack line and it looks rather old and dirty

I think a little bit of gesso, acrylic paint, mists, glitters, beads and sequins will do the job of "covering up" don't you agree?

and I had lots of fun playing with moulding gel too, I simply used the negative of my die cuts as stencils

next is to add lace flower trims

the rolodex did come with some index cards inside, unlike the cover, they look new and clean

my plan is to make this a "birthday book", a place where I keep all the important dates such as birthdays, anniversary etc..... so I get some stamping going on

and some pretty paper too.....

now I have myself a organized birthday book/box

with pretty cover!!!!

Come play along with us

The lovely prize package for this challenge is sponsored by our creator Yvonne!

Did you have fun playing along with me?

Ok, crafty friends, because you gals are too clever and guess it right every time, so I tried very hard to  find something not so iconic in New York City, the two pictures I used on my last post were

(Left) a fairy tale brown stone on the upper east side of Manhattan
(Right) the famous Frank Gehry building on Spruce Street, lower Manhattan

I am so happy to be back here, NYC always felt like HOME to me, not only I spent 8 precious years here, those years were also the changing point of my life.
and
I get to see my baby

who spent bigger part of her life here in new york city, and just like mom, she loves the city so much and was determine to come back here for collage after we moved to Las Vegas.
We just got here late this evening so I am seeing her after her class tomorrow, looking forward to take her out to her favorite place for lunch and spend the day with her.

now a little quiz before I go

our next stop

can you guess?
