LESSology challenge 11 ~ Flight of Fantasy

Hello friends, hope you doing well.

I am sharing an altered project for

this favor box I got from a wedding party is old and torn (on the inside), it needs a make over

some old book pages I cut out from my previous LESSology project (altered book) is perfect to cover this little box up

some stamping, misting and a little bit of paper tissue paper does the magic to the old book page

left over patterned paper for the cover, left over lace to go around...

roll up 2 tiny pieces of sheet music.... I hope it is Nikolai Rimsky Korsakov's work....

because Pixie is ready to take the flight, flight of the bumblebee, which is.....

and fly to my daughter Clare, a music major at Calarts, she loves Rimsky's Flight of the bumblebee, I still remember it was one of her encore piece many years back when she played at The Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore.

hmmm..... maybe a little gift in there wouldn't hurt??????

I am back......

Hello friends, how you doing? I am finally back to my desk in Las Vegas, but not for long, now I have to unpack my bag full of winter clothes from my New York trip and load it with bag filled with summer wear and slippers because I am going to the Sunny Island Singapore next!

Here to share a few shots from NYC....

I got into the city at 9 pm, put my bag in the hotel room in a hurry and boom.... I am at Times Square, loving the city with all my five senses

meeting up with Pixie Lauren is the highlight of day 2, we were blessed with weather in the 60s, look at us, sitting in the middle of times square in winter?

we spent half a day in Soho, lunch at Kittichai was GREAT!!!

day 3 in New York, everything is back to normal, I mean, winter weather is back but it won't stop me from wandering at Bryant Park

that old familiar subway station on 42nd and 6th .....

the chair I sat and spent many summer hours....

just right outside The New York Public Library...

the upper east side neighborhood ....

this little shop there on UES is a MUST for this trip.....

Laduree opened their NYC location 2 months ago, I've visited the one in Monaco and how could I not make a trip up here....

obviously these didn't make it to Vegas....

I did end up day 3 with my favorite Gelato because it is double dessert day.... : )

day 4 started with the best croissant in the world  from Le Pain Quotidien...

on the way to the airport, a good look at the new freedom tower. I can't tell you how much I feel for this place, it took me 2 trips in 2003 to have the "courage" to even go near and look at the big hole on the ground, the sight of the tunnel for subway trains that used to run underground of the twin tower is just unforgetable
The last 18 months of my stay in New York, I took the path train from the old world trade center every single day to get back to my Jersey City apartment, watching the construction going on like watching a child's grow, you can tell how emotional I feel today to see the new freedom tower, standing tall and strong at ground zero.... God Bless America!!!!!!
