I am going with a Christmas Card using "MERRY" from PTI Wonderful Words Holiday Die Collection



I stamped it with PTI anniversary set Birds and Blooms Stamp set on a piece of white cardstock before I die cut it, the ink I used are Spring Rain and Scarlet Jewel

I am using the first color palette for my card

the christmas tree image is from PTI Tinsel and Tag market kit and inked with Halloween Shores
Sentiments are from PTI Wonderful Words Holiday Greetings Stamp Set 

tiny snowflake was stamped with Hibiscus Burst ink and Places Please mini stamp set

I really want the stained glass effect,  like those I see in the church 
{prague 2013}

so I used PTI quatrerfoil die cover plate as the frame of the window

clear card stock also from Papertry Ink

and I used the following to framed my colored piece

 lastly, the sentiment is from PTI Peaceful pinecones stamp set

This is the mood board

When I see that, I think of PAPILLON right away, my PAPILLON...

I also love the shabby white birdcage and butterflies on the top left corner, that is what inspired this layout....

the big butterfly at the bottom left corner also caught my eyes...

and the jewels on both the shoe and that butterfly shows up on the layout as well...

A Piece of Sky

I wanted to create the big blue sky with white clouds, like those I see in Santa Monica, CA

so I spray some blue watercolor paint with glimmer mist and water randomly on my work top, and then put a piece of watercolor paper upside down just to dab and absorb the colors, I wanted part blue  for the sky and part white for the clouds.....

and I love the effect

oh, and old fashion ferries wheel here, I am feeling a little bit nostalgic here
