Today, I am sharing some of the photos taken on our last trip to Arches National Park
*June 2012*
We drove from Santa Fe, north through the Colorado mountains, and then west to Utah
Drove by Hole N" The Rock
getting closer....
Finally......
Arches National Park, Moah, UT
These rock formations are known as Park Avenue, they are one of the first sites to see after entering the park (and it does remind me of Park Avenue in New York City, aww.... I miss NYC)
for just $10, you get to see all these? WOW, what a bargain
Another popular features of Arches National Park, Balanced Rock
the big rock on top is the size of three school buses
the hike up to the Delicate Arch
The 60-90 minutes hike (depending on how fast you walk) did not look that tough but my..... it is not that easy for me, to make the matter worst, we tried to get up there before it gets dark, I left my water bottle in the car, so you can imagine that hike.......
No, not yet, this one only qualified to call a "window"
just around the corner....
TADA..........
The 65-foot (20 m) tall freestanding Natural Arch is the most widely-recognized landmark in Arches National Park
lots of people waiting for sunset at Delicate Arch
Yes, Arches is indeed a sad place for me, my first time here was with a great friend in 2006, he passed away few years later..... *sigh*
I just love the colors of the sky when the sun is setting
Goodbye Aches, when will we meet again?
I will be back here with a new project for City Crafter Challenge Blog, meanwhile, you might want to check the following blogs out
