A new fun card challenge

There's a new challenge blog in blogland, have you hear about it yet?

The fun people behind the scene is Darnell, famously known for her NBUS challenge.

The feather images I used on both cards is one from Papertrey Ink "Feather Finery"

this is a "friendship" card, where you can mail it to any friend that is special to you

"You" word die -Papertrey Ink
Sentiment - Papertrey Ink
Enamel dots - Altenew

Here's the second card using the same feather image...

I stamped the feathers on the base and then use a frame die to cut the middle part..... and I want this to be a Valentine's day card so I add a heart as well.

  5. Hi Kirsty, thanks for your visit, and I just became your newest follower. I love BOTH of these pretty cards, but I really like the design of #2. The stacked design is most impressive with those embossed feathers. The pink is just so pretty & cheery too. TFS

  6. I love them both, Kirsty! The pink/black combination is so much fun with the spatters and enamel dots. Your kraft and feather background is stamped beautifully and makes a perfect Valentine. I have this set and have been waiting to see how others might use it in this challenge. I love the image so much, but have yet to make a card! Thanks for the inspiration, and thank you for joining in on the fun at Twofer Card Challenge!

  7. Fantastic feather cards done two ways, Kirsty!! Your bright pink card is so pretty and a wonderful way to let someone know how special they are to you! Beautiful CAS design. Your second card is wonderful with the white embossing over kraft. Your design with the popped up center is so creative. The sentiment is perfect to go with the feather images. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge.

  10. These are both fabulous, Kirsty! The first one is deliciously vibrant, with such a great sense of energy from that vivid pink ... and the second is soft and delicate, and there's a lovely warmth about it from the kraft! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita :)

  17. That's my favorite feather stamp out of all my feather stamps! It looks so real and stamps and embosses like a dream! I love your hot hot pink design! And I think the white-embossed feathers as a background on the framed kraft card are stunning! Great job, Kirsty! Thank you so much for the kind shoutout and for enthusiastically playing in my new Twofer challenge!! Hugs, Darnell

  19. Oooh, they are both so pretty, and I love the two totally different looks you achieved with the feathers! The scattering of droplets and enamel dots on the pink card is SUCH a fun and artsy look. And I adore the white against the kraft. What a fabulous idea to die cut and inlay the frame! Love these!

  20. I LOVE them BOTH but much to my surprise (because I am a pink freak) I LOVE the kraft one best! Maybe it's the sentiment but I also LOVE the popped mat in the center that perfectly matches the BG stamping!
