We took the train from Grafing to Salzburg this morning, it cost Euro 35 for 3 return tickets.
Augustin reminded us to sit on the right side of the train, we could see the Alps from a distance even though it is drizzling.....

We took a short cab ride from the train station to the town center, Cafe Tomaselli is our first stop....
located at the Alter Market, we learned that Mozart used to be a frequent guest here....
this is my breakfast at Cafe Tomaselli...
this is Clare's......
we heard that ice cream and dessert are really good here but we have no room after breakfast.....
our next stop is to visit Mozart Birth Place....

we enjoy window shopping in Salzburg old town, and we saw this on an umbrella, it really crack me up...
and then we crossed over the river to look for Mozart's Residance....
by this time, I really feels like a dessert, so we stopped at another famous cafe in Salzburg...
Cafe Fürst
they are the original Salzburger Mozartkugel
we are ready to get back to the train station by now, but we couldn't get a cab and decided to walk, we found Mirabell Garden on our way to the train station....
so beautiful, there is no reason not to stop for photos...

ReplyDeleteMy in-laws love Salzburg and chose every excuse to visit. Sadly, my father-in-law has past away so those trips are likely over. I'll have to enjoy your lovely posts as inspiration in the meantime. Great layouts and really lovely pictures. Your visit must have been a very good time!
