Project Life 2016 - May 31 (Neuschwanstein)

Project Life 2016

Neuschwanstein

A truly magical spot

May 31
We had breakfast at Ann's house this morning and then heading out to Neuschwanstein, they called it New Swanstone Castle in English. Clare had car sick so we made a few stops. One of the stop is Wieskirche (The Pilgrimage Church of Wies)

don't you just judge the church from the outside, the inside, WOW!!!!

trust me, I have been to many great churches all over the world, this one is by far the most beautiful!

Clare and I had some yummy Bavarian dessert there.....

after a few hours, we finally able to see Neuschwanstein from a distance

getting closer....

but to get up there, we still have a way to walk....

I can't believe I am last in line walking up the slope, way behind Augustin, Ann and the one wasn't feeling well  : (

YAY! Finally there.....

this is the view if you live in the castle....

build in the nineteenth-century by Ludwig ll of Bavaria, Neuschwanstein is so beautiful, it serves as the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle, so if you have been to Disneyland, you might find this looking familiar to you.

before we head back home, we had early dinner there and took a few more shots of the castle...

time to go......

now where did I put my glass slippers?

  6. Such a beautiful setting and such an amazing place to visit! I did go there with my parents when I was quite young, and remember that hike up to the castle. I wasn't feeling well back then, either. What a co-incidence! Would love to go back again someday. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful photos and pages!
