Our Beautiful World 79 ~ Wintery



is a place where you can share the beauty of the world through your lens, we have a weekly theme, this week is....

WINTERY

I took this picture at Vail, CO in November, when we were driving back after a road trip to Iowa and were stuck in the snow storm.


the drive was painful because we can only drive 5 miles/hour due to icy road condition, however, the scenery outside the is beautiful.

We don't really have winter here in Las Vegas, but it is really cold here first week of January, our fountain at our backyard actually freeze.....



that doesn't stop my little explorer from sniffing around and checking out the area though




and it last only 2 days, once the sun comes out, everything is back to normal, oh how I love to live in a place where this is winter!

    It was COLD here too that first week of January ... we heard there was snow and overturned cars in the towns between Vegas and Phoenix! Crazy! I can't believe your fountain froze ... that's crazy!!!

    Such beautiful wintery photos, Kirsty! Loving the view out your car window, and your semi-frozen outdoor fountain makes me smile. So interesting to see how cascading water can freeze in place like that. :)

    I always love the photos you share. That photo of Vail is so inviting to curl up next to a roaring fire... maybe because I don't get snow regularly either.

    The ice in your backyard is incredible. I'm sure it was something to see in person. The photos are striking.
