Old English Library

We bought the house 3 and a half years ago, everything in this house is white, wall, ceiling etc, my husband never stop complaining, unlike him, I actually like it's bright and clean look. Well, after a while, I finally decided to do some painting, one room at a time.

Clare's room was first, you can read the post here

Now is Dolce's room

Before.....

and then after she went to college... yes, my girls just leave their junk, sigh....

NOW!!!!

Dolce loves to read and she collected tons of books...

yes, you are looking at the books a 18 year old read years ago, when she was 15, 16.

yep, why not make her room an Old English Library

I bought these wooden letters from Michael's and painted them dark brown

wall arts are handmade too...

the leaf was from my tipu tree in our backyard, it keeps green till today

this one is from the roses, can you tell?

this one was from our master bedroom, I thought it goes well with the Old English Library better

Dolce also collects old suit case

I bought a piece of cloth looks just like her suitcase to cover up the ugly boxes under the desk

I used what I found at home to make the covers for the pillows

now she has an Old English Library and happy about it, I hope she keeps it clean and neat before she leaves for NYC next week.

and I am happy that I spent less than $70 to give the room a new look

  2. So beautiful and inviting. I love it. I know all the "they leave their junk behind" business. I had that when both my sons left home.
