is a place where you can share photographs taken by you from your part of the world
We have a new word prompt every Sunday
This week is
EYE(s)
{photo edited using Picmonkey}
I know what you are thinking, these are not eyes, but wait, look carefully, don't see someone some tree staring at you? : 0
I spent 2 long summers in Aspen, Colorado, I just love the aspen tree, when the wind blows, the aspen leaves makes a very unique sound, you can hear it here, that is why it got the name quaking aspen leaves.
Since it was summer when I was in Aspen 2005 and 2006, I didn't get to see Aspen in red and orange, so we drove to Aspen first week of September this year, hoping to see Aspen in its most beautiful colors, but nah.... this year is a little late, we still didn't get to see the beautiful red and orange aspen tree but I get to go back to this little town that I am so familiar with...
I went back to Benedict Tent, not a soul there today, everything there is very calm and peaceful..
I also went to back to the music school, tt was in Aspen, I wish that I could be a full-time music student. (dreaming away...)
making music by the stream...
Oh Aspen, I got a long story to tell, maybe some other day, for now, hop over to
to see what our team have for you over there, or maybe share your story too!
What a wonderful place! Wish to be there

ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE this post so much, Kirsty :). Colorado is dear to my heart, as dearest as NYC to you :). I love the whistling 'music' Aspen trees make, and so amazing that you could see many 'eyes' on them!!. That beautiful creek reminds me of Clear Creek in downtown Golden where I usually go to unwind after class :). It's fun to see you making music there!. Gorgeous nature. HUGS.

ReplyDeleteCool how the trees look as if they have eyes. It's haunting, really. Reminds me of the Russian legend that the souls of the dead haunt birch trees (which are much like aspen trees)...
