City Crafter Challenge Blog Week 175 ~ Birds

Hello Tuesday!
The new challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog this week is

Birds

Use Bird(s) on your project AND with the color BLUE

this is one of my favorite creation lately, maybe I am just a shabby, layered girl, I tried to explore on CAS but sometimes I noticed I just feel happier making thing like this one

the thing is, the bulky card is not so practical anymore as postage has gotten so expensive, it will cost me $6 just to send a card like that overseas, what should I do?

what do you do with your bulky card? do you give them away by hand? or are you like me, try to make more envelope friendly cards? I am curious to know, please share!

Our guest this week at City Crafter Challenge Blog is

Tracy MacDonald, I am a big fan, you will be too!

  1. This is soooo pretty! I give almost all my cards by hand and I don't make envelopes - they decorate the top of the present. :)

  5. Such a very pretty card - gorgeous image, lovely layers and fabulous embellishments. I tend to bite the bullet when it comes to posting cards with depth and pay the huge charges, but if I can deliver by hand so much the better. I do try to plan ahead so it can go 2nd class but even that is pricey these days!

  9. Oh, I am with you.....LOVE the pretty shabby chic creations like this! What a stunning card, Kirsty. But yes, the postage is just terrible now. For me, I do try to keep most cards that I have to mail flat, although that is really, really hard for me. But if the card gets hand-delivered, I really go to town with the bulk. :)

  15. Those dual-colored flowers look gorgeous on this shabby chic beauty! I seldom make heavily embellished cards like this anymore unless I'll be hand delivering them. I try to focus on mailer-friendly cards more often these days :)

I make some bulky cards but try to hand deliver the really big ones, else I just pay the extra price to mail them and make my own envelopes!
