When I learn a new technique at PTI Make it Monday, usually I want to give it a second try if I didn't get it right the first time, but every single time, I just couldn't find time to complete the mission, it is rather peaceful and quiet here this week, so I get a chance to make my second attempt happened.
I wasn't very happy with my first card for this challenge, and then Ros gave me a tip, she mentioned to me that smoother paper might be able to get a better result, so.... I tried, and did it, YAY! Thank you Ros!
I really like the softer look compared to my first card here, I used watercolor paper for that one, thinking that it would absorb water better.
I used some sequins from PTI Make it Market kit as well as the new vellum paper released last month, I love them! Unlike other vellum, this one at PTI has a good weight and doesn't curl up like other vellum paper does.
Even though I can't link this card to the challenge now that PTI has a ONE CARD rule, but I am happy that I finally get the result I want! YAY!
This is so pretty, Kirsty! I love the softness of the smooshing with the black inked sentiment. The vellum and sequins add some detail but also keep it soft :)
ReplyDeleteKirsty, this is fantastic, I love it. :)

Oops, I thought the other card was your second try. I'll admit to loving them both for different reasons. This is so soft and delicate. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I actually like both backgrounds. I like the texture on the first and the softness of colors on the second. The design is great and the sequins add lots of interest.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's a winner :) Love that suble look in these shades and that dotted background is gorgeous too.
