Tags (set of 3)

Since I am still in Chicago tonight, no new card to show, I am just going to show you the tags I made for my new neighbors when we moved to Vegas about 2 months ago.

This is a set of 3 tags, I used some of the lace stamp set I bought in Singapore, the butterfly stamps are PTI.

As you all know, I went to the CHA Super Show in Chicago early today, it was fun, my first stop is to the Papertrey Ink Booth, I saw Dawn Mcvey, Michelle Wooderson, Heather Nichols and Debbie Olson, 4 of them were all teaching classes, sort of, you know they have some hands on stuff, where you can make a card on the spot, ya, they were all busy doing that, and I didn't want to interupt, so no photos with those PTI big girls. : (  However, I get to speak to Nichole Heady though, she was just keeping the shoppers in line to cash out their items.

Everywhere I go, seemed to see  some familiar faces, but I can't really recogize them by names. Like the girls over at Taylored Expressions, I know only Talyor, and can't even remember her last name, I am just so bad at remembering names. And the most common phrase I heard all days is "ok, see you in blog land", guess everyone there is a blogger, LOL! Over all, it was a fun day for me, heading to Cedar Rapids, Iowa tomorrow, so still no crafting for me. : (  can't wait to have my hands on those papers and glue........

Blogging in the hotel room at Chicago!

Can't you believe this? I am blogging and taking part in challenges in a hotel room here in Chicago! LOL! You think I am addicted? Oh well, I didn't have time to make a card this morning before I leave for Chicago, but I do have a card to share!

I made this card couple of weeks ago while I was trying out the doily stamp, and since Dutch Dare Card Challenge is having a "anything goes" challenge this week (so nice....), why don't I play along?

The lace doily stamp bought in Singapore last summer, is from Papeterie.
The carnival ticket from KraftyKirsty
That rose button on the seam binding was bought when I went shopping with Linda. I love it!
DP from EK Success
I like the shades of the seam binding I used here.

CCCB week 15 ~ Garden Mail ...

It's another new week for City Crafter Challenge Blog, this week, our very talented hostess Ros Crawford found us this lovely picture from "A Creative Mint".

And your job is to pick up the colors or elements from this inspiration photo, and create a card/project with the theme "Mail" in mind, it could be a stamp, an envelope, postage, postcard etc...
And I just love it as I love the purple shades!

Here's my DT sample for this week

The cardstock is from Bazzill Basic Paper
DP are from The Girls' Paperie and K & Company
The postage stamp is from Cavallini Paper and Co

I didn't have any purple flower and can't find anything close enough, so I torn the petals of the big orange rose apart, stained it with my lilac ink pad, and stamped over with the script stamp, oh well, I ended with something close to what I had in mind and 10 lilac colors fingers.

Alright, why don't you hop over to City Crafter Challenge Blog and have a peek on what the other DT come up with, I promise you, there are lots of beautiful work done by them.

And yes, City Crafter have something FUN this week for everyone, when you are there, do scroll down to the bottom of the posting and get the details on how to play along with our Pretty Things Jar Swap!!!

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop Challenge

This is my 3rd blog hop with Papertrey Ink, how exciting

Here's what I come up with

You can pin this on your board near your desk or work area, the post-it pad is just within reach

I am using all the new stuff from Papertrey Ink, arrived few days ago, I can't described the feeling, on the 15th every month after I submitted my order for the new released item, then the days seem so slow until the goodies arrived at my door. You think I am addicted to Papertrey Ink???

Ok, better post this before it is too late, and then I am off to see the other lovely works from all the papertrey ink peeps.

Clear Cardstock

This is my very first try on this clear cardstock from Papertrey Ink. It is not very easy to stamp on, I tried many to finally get this one, I am still not happy about it, guess I need more practice!

Over at The Play Date Cafe this week, is a color challenge, this is the beautiful inspiration photo and these are the colors Julie Ranae pick out.

Can you see the clear cardstock?

DP is from Anna Griffin
Stamp is from Papertrey Ink

From the Garden

2 great challenges I like, and I try to do it weekly whenever I find time are....

 (Week # 19 - From the Garden)

and

(Kazan's Sketch 57)

Here's my card

Closer look...

The flowers are made with tissue paper, I spray it with glimmer mist and color it with chalk, and then top it with Prima roses.

The little Pixie Linda gave me is watching over my garden

The papers are from The Girls' Paperie and K & Company

Little flowers with lots of ribbon found from my stash
Ric Rac are "From the Garden" found at Etsy, there are a few more interesting items in that set, take a look HERE!

Today Linda came over and we did a little crafting together spent a lot of time chatting, it was fun!
How cool is that to have a crafting friend live close by, the coolest part is, when I get Linda to join me at City Crafter Challenge Blog, we were living 2,500 miles apart at that point of time, and I didn't know that I will be moving to the city where she is. How cool is that, now that we are only 20 minutes away from each other.
